COURSES AT
THE MASTER'S UNIVERSITY

As Adjunct Faculty at The Master's University School of Music, it is my joy to teach Individual Piano Instruction, World Music, and Piano Pedagogy. I have also taught courses in Group Piano, Collaborative Keyboard, Women's Chamber Choir, and acted as Assistant Director and Vocal Coach for the Theatre Arts Program.

Included in the Piano Pedagogy coursework is a program called TMU Piano Kids, in which beginning piano students learn to play their instrument in both individual and group piano environments. Our university student teachers gain invaluable experience in teaching beginning piano lessons, which sets them up for succeeding as teachers upon graduation. Many of our graduates now run their own piano studios. What a joy it is to see them thriving in their teaching and to see them continuing to share the gift of music as a part of their own musical journeys.

Another privilege I have in teaching at TMU is being a part of the teaching team for our annual Songs of Summer workshop for beginning and intermediate singers. This week-long event provides children with the opportunity to take classes in individual voice instruction, performance techniques for soloists, acting improvisation, music theory, and ensemble performance. I have the joy of teaching the music theory course.
